ITINERARY 1

Oviedo > San Sebastian (4d/3n)

Day 1. Oviedo - Gijón - Llanes (Tuesday)

Reception on board the train at Oviedo station at 10:00h.  Accommodation on the train. Visit of the historic center of Oviedo and transfer by coach to Gijón. Lunch. In the afternoon visit of Gijón. Afterwards return to the train to Llanes. Dinner on board and overnight in Llanes.

Day 2. Llanes - Picos de Europa - Cabezón de la Sal (Wednesday)

After breakfast with our coach, we will ascend to the Picos de Europa, Covadonga Lakes, Sanctuary and Cangas de Onis, the first Spanish capital after the reconquest. Lunch. In the afternoon we will return to the train and visit the fishing village of Llanes. Dinner on board and overnight in Cabezón de la Sal.

Day 3. Cabezón de la Sal - Santillana - Santander (Thursday)

Our first visit will be to the Neocave of Altamira, museum and faithful reproduction of this maximum exponent of Upper Paleolithic cave art. Then, Santillana del Mar, a village with its magnificently preserved medieval old town. After lunch, we will go by train to Santander, the elegant capital of Cantabria, where we will have a guided tour and free time. Dinner and overnight in Santander.

Day 4. Santander - Bilbao - San Sebastian (Friday)

During breakfast, El Transcantábrico sets off for Bilbao. Upon arrival, we say goodbye to the crew and the train to visit this dynamic city, which has managed to reinvent itself after the decline of its traditional heavy industry. The visit to the city includes the entrance to the famous Guggenheim Museum, symbol of this new Bilbao.

After the visit we will travel to San Sebastian, where we will have lunch at the Costa Vasca Hotel and finish our trip around 4:30 pm.                                    

ITINERARY 2

Santiago de Compostela > Gijón (4d/3n)

Day 1. Santiago de Compostela - Ferrol - Viveiro (Saturday)

Reception at 10:00h at the Parador de los Reyes Católicos in Santiago de Compostela. Visit of the historical center and lunch. In the afternoon our luxury coach will take us to Ferrol where the train and its crew will be waiting for us. Welcome and accommodation to start our journey by train to Viveiro. Visit, dinner and night in Viveiro.

Day 2. Viveiro - Ribadeo (Sunday)

While having breakfast, the train will arrive in Ribadeo, a historic Galician town bordering the Principality of Asturias. With the coach we will cross the region of Oscos-Eo, biosphere reserve and we will arrive at Taramundi, an authentic natural theme park where water is the protagonist. Visit of Os Castros and Texois, one of the best ethnographic sites in the world, based on water. Lunch, free time and return to Ribadeo. Dinner and overnight in Ribadeo.

Day 3. Ribadeo - Luarca (Monday)

After breakfast, visit of Ribadeo and its surroundings, arriving at Las Catedrales Beach, one of the most spectacular beaches in the world. Lunch in Ribadeo. In the afternoon with the train, we will continue our trip to Luarca, La Villa Blanca de La Costa Verde, visit, dinner on board and night in Luarca.

Day 4.  Luarca - Gijón (Tuesday)

Enjoying our last breakfast on board, we will arrive at the Capital of the Principality of Asturias, Oviedo. Where we will say goodbye to the train and its crew. Visit of Oviedo and transfer by coach to Gijón. Lunch at the Molino Viejo de Gijón National Park. Where we will finish our services after lunch around 16:30h.

Itinerary from Aranjuez to Escorial (4d/3n)

Day 1. Aranjuez - Zaragoza

Reception at 10:00 am in Aranjuez, location to follow. Visit of Aranjuez and lunch. Welcome on board and settling in. Dinner on board while the train travels to Zaragoza. Overnight in Zaragoza.

Day 2. Zaragoza - Miranda de Ebro

After breakfast on board, visit of Zaragoza and the Basilica del Pilar. Lunch on board while the train travels to Cenicero. Visit of the Marqués de Riscal Winery. Dinner in a restaurant and overnight in Miranda de Ebro.

Day 3. Miranda de Ebro - Ávila

Over breakfast, the train arrives in Ávila for a visit to the Cathedral and its Wall. Lunch. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner on board, end of trip party and overnight in Ávila.

Day 4. Ávila - El Escorial

While having breakfast we arrive in El Escorial. Farewell to the train and its crew is followed by a visit of El Escorial, lunch in a restaurant. End of the itinerary around 4 pm.

Itinerary from Alcalá de Henares to Barcelona França (4d/3n)

Day 1. Alcalá de Henares - Zaragoza

Reception at the Parador Nacional of Alcalá de Henares, at 10:00 am. Visit of the Instituto Cervantes and the historic city center. Lunch. In the afternoon welcome aboard the train and settling in while the train travels to Zaragoza. Dinner on board and overnight in Zaragoza.

Day 2. Zaragoza - Lérida

After breakfast on board, we visit Zaragoza and the Basilica del Pilar. Lunch on the train, route to Lérida. Visit Lérida and one of its wine cellars. Dinner in a restaurant and overnight in Lérida.

Day 3. Lérida - Tarragona

While having breakfast the train arrives in Tarragona for a visit to the Roman Archaeological Complex and the Amphitheatre. Lunch and free time. Dinner on board, end of trip party and night in Tarragona.

Day 4. Tarragona - Barcelona

We arrive in Barcelona while having breakfast. Farewell to the train and its crew, followed by visiting Barcelona. Lunch in a restaurant and end of the trip around 4 pm.

Day 1. Barcelona - Tarragona

Reception at 10:00 am at a location to be advised in Barcelona. Panoramic tour of the city, followed by welcome and settling in on the train. Lunch on board on the way to Tarragona. Panoramic city tour and free time. Dinner in a restaurant and overnight in Tarragona.

Day 2. Tarragona - Lérida

After breakfast, visit to the Roman Archaeological Complex and its Amphitheatre. Lunch on board while traveling to Lérida. Visit of the city and a winery. Dinner in a restaurant and overnight in Lérida.

Day 3. Lérida - Zaragoza

Itinerary Oviedo to Bilbao (3d/2n)

Day 1: Oviedo – Picos de Europa - Llanes

Reception on board the train in Oviedo’s Train Station at 10:00 am. Tour of Oviedo. Lunch on board while travelling to Arriondas, then coach trip to visit the Picos de Europa National Park, the Sanctuary and Lakes of Covadonga, and Cangas de Onís. Dinner and overnight stay in Llanes.

Day 2: Llanes – Santillana - Santander

During breakfast, the train takes us to Cabezón de la Sal. Tour of Santillana and the Neocave of Altamira, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, tour of Santander, dinner, and overnight stay.

Día 3: Santander – Bilbao

During breakfast, we travel to Bilbao. Tour of the city, with the trip ending at around 2 pm in La Concordia Station.

Itinerary from Santiago de Compostela to Oviedo (3d/2n)

Day 1: Santiago de Compostela – Viveiro

Reception of passengers at the Parador de los Reyes Católicos in Santiago de Compostela at 12:00 pm. Visit of Santiago and lunch. Coach to Ferrol where we will take the train to Viveiro. Visit, dinner and night in Viveiro

Day 2: Viveiro – Oviedo

We will start the morning enjoying our delicious buffet breakfast while Costa Verde Express arrives at Ribadeo, to visit Beach of Las Catedrales and Ribadeo. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit of Luarca. Dinner on board while the train arrives in Oviedo.

Day 3: Oviedo

After breakfast we start the day with a visit to Oviedo, Capital of the Principality of Asturias. We return to the train and collect our luggage to finish the trip around 2 pm.
